about me

I have been a voracious reader since the age of ten (some time ago, now). I'm particularly interested in sci-fi and fantasy but will have a go at just about anything.

My novel, Chained Chaos, is the first in a series of stand-alone books that run from sci-fi to fantasy and form an unexpected chain when read in the right order.

Now all I have to do is get them published ;c)

And so, the game begins.

Cry, "Havoc!" and let slip the Wargs of Dh'or.

Edit: I'm off to the writer's festival for the weekend, so forgive me if I don't reciprocate reads for a few days...

favourite books

Iain M. Banks - Excession, David Gemmell - Ravenheart, Andre Norton - The Zero Stone, Philip Jose Farmer - The World of Tiers.

I was intrigued by this, so I read the whole thing. In my mind, your ideas are sound and the tech is well thought out, the story line is fine, engaging and moving well. Your characters are filling out, although we know little of the women. I feel that, as it stands, it is skeletal. You drag us in... view book

This isn't normally my thing but it is well written and the messages are clear, I would imagine it would be perfectly publishable in its genre. Backed. view book

This book awakens a strange claustrophobia within me. An entire generation brought up in relative social isolation, with no respite from the few peers they have. To live out almost their entire lives on a ship, never to see the sun or feel its warmth on their skin... You portray these thoughts an... view book

I fear that the prologue was sufficient to stop me reading further. It was well written and vivid, I just can't deal with the callous nature involved. Strange, as I can write about amoral characters that deal with adults, but not kids. I have reciprocated nonetheless. view book

I live in Scotland, it's nice to see the places that I know come to life in your writing. I struggled a little with the alien chapter (I read up to chapter 6), mainly with the names and the alien references to common objects (although I did get the gloves reference) and I also struggled a little wit... view book
