about me

I was born in the north-east of England but since 2003 have been living amongst smelly cheese and fresh coffee in a small town just outside Paris, France.

I work as an theme park attraction designer & music composer, and also run the website The British Frog.

I have lost interest in getting backed or on any bookshelves here as Father of Emily seems to be doing well without it.

Father of Emily is now on sale... go check it out!

Father of Emily

Kristofer Oliver

Love... Paris... Memories...

Ben Millar’s life feels like any other ex-pat romance, he drinks too much coffee, moans about the French and has just found out he has an unfaithful girlfriend. Almost a decade after he has left England he is forced to take on an emotional journey of discovery as fourteen-year-old Emily, the daughter of his teenage love Clara, comes to visit him in Paris. This new relationship makes Ben face his fears, his past and the guilt of leaving her mother - the girl he said he would never leave. Nothing could prepare Ben for the surprises that Emily brings with her.

I have lost interest in getting backed or getting onto any shelves here, (Father of Emily got into the top 50) but I still would highly appreciate your comments, reviews and 'likes' on the amazon page.
Hope you enjoy it!

Father of Emily is now available on Amazon:

hi, :-) Your pitch grabbed my attention. I agree with the last comment that it could be tighter again. The hard thing to do is to decide whether you are pitching to readers or pitching your entire book... ie more of a short synopsis.. As a reader I really didnt need to know as much as you gave awa... view book

With your layout, my screen won't display the speech, and I can only see who's talking. (Even when i reduce the text size) I like your plots at least but that's all I can see... :-( view book

Your characters, writing and style are all really good and your opening chapter has really drawn me in. If I was you I'd have a go at trying a version where this chapter is really chopped at. For example, try getting from the opening sentence to the bus scene in half the space. I'm not sure if it... view book
