about me

I love to laugh, and I love to see people laugh. New to writing but loving it so far.

I reside in Atlanta GA with my family. I was born in the UK to Nigerian parents and grew up shuttling between the UK and Nigeria, before relocating to the United States more than a decade ago.

Writing is my passion but I hope to make it my second job. If I can stay off facebook, that is! Getting there.

Currently, I am a member of AWC (Atlanta Writers Club), ACFW (American Christian Fiction Writers), SheWrites, Absolute Write Water Cooler and Edgy Christian Fiction Lovers.

Do check out Anonymous Gift Giver. I will make an effort to return the favor. However, I only give honest critiques and back a book I truly enjoyed reading.

My writing about a Nigerian protagonist does not fit into any stereotypes of the impoverished African coming to the West because that is not everybody's story. Sorry to disappoint those who are looking for more such stories. I wrote about someone similar to me, though it is not my story.

I hope you enjoy the different flavor.

Anonymous Gift Giver

Stella-Grace Taylor

On arrival in Atlanta, a sassy young immigrant doctor has quite the struggle juggling culture shock, career, faith and finding love; then "Anonymous" shows up...

Note to Self: You can fall in love with anybody if you spend enough time with them, and that’s not always a good thing.

Just another "Aha" moment for Lara Cole, the sassy young Nigerian doctor who has her work cut out for her way before she walks through the doors of Grady Hospital. Her aspirations prove to be a mirage and the American dream seems to be just that, a dream. Her pursuit of love is no different, with a penchant for attracting the wrong kind of men. Add faith into the mix and we have chaos of all different proportions. Lara’s confusion deepens with the appearance of mystery gifts from an insightful admirer. In her quest for the greatest of desires, love, will she settle for less than the best? Will it be “Anonymous” or another?

Anonymous Gift Giver is a completed 115,000 word, multicultural women’s fiction, set mostly in Atlanta Georgia at the turn of the millennium.

The first few chapters are uploaded on Authonomy.

BHCG Review I like the short pitch. The long pitch needs some tightening. Ch 1 Great opening. It drew me in. Minor repetitions could be tightened up. Sounds little like telling us what was going to happen, then showing it and explaining some more. It could be combined nicely. RUE. Resist the... view book

BHCG Review Like we say back home, one good turn deserves another. :) I liked the short pitch. The long one needs some fine-tuning and some extra punctuations here and there. Ch 1 It drew me in from the beginning. Fast paced. What I immediately noticed in the long pitch and early chapter ... view book

Thanks JD for a detailed review. I really appreciate it. It's funny because just this evening, I went back and worked on chapter one again, filling in some 'holes' like you called it. Honestly, the story is more about the man/woman dynamics but everyone is so excited about the emigrating that it's b... view book

BHCG Review I am intrigued by the book description, being an African. The glossary is a great idea. I started to do one for mostly the names in my book because of the questions that arise about how they sound, not knowing that they are all phrases and mean something. Prologue Started off wit... view book

Thanks Janny! I will take all these into consideration as I continue to edit and tighten up the story. It is nowhere near perfect yet. It is multicultural women's fiction so it will be different from anything on the mainstream market. And while certain things may not have any meaning or much of a ho... view book
