about me

I love to write, but I am a procrastinator. I love reading, but I am not the fastest reader. I read a little bit of everything, but my heart is in sci fi/fantasy.

For me, writing is not an option: it is a necessity. That doesn't necessarily mean it's any good. I just like to write. A lot. A lot a lot a lot. I'm sure that's why we're all here though ;)

Feedback, comments and suggestions are very much welcome! I know I often have a case of writer's blindness, and would much appreciate constructive criticism.

A few random facts about me:
- I am a Christian.
- For ten years I have been raising and showing purebred and pedigreed guinea pigs
- I love fencing. I wish I were decent at it.
- Bugs, plants, and critters of all shapes and sizes fascinate me. I was the knobby-kneed kid who spent her days in the backyard watching roly polies, buried to my elbows in dirt gardening, and reading Nancy Drew until I could pretty much recite it.

Ignorance

A. L. Thomason

Sometimes we get ourselves into situations we know little about.

There is something out there. Young Alexandria Porter hears whispers about a place different than everything she’s ever known, and it becomes her goal to put some substance to the shadows that fill her mind. She is young and the way is hard, but her determination and stubbornness help her fight her way to the hub of this world-within-a-world. She learns things that concern not only the world she came from but herself as well, and her ideals and beliefs get put to the test. Caught up in something bigger than herself, she soon finds that she has unwittingly become a key player in a war whose rules she knows little about. The way is paved with hard knocks and lessons to be learned, but she must keep pushing on. This is her journey.

Very enjoyable read. You pack a lot into the amount of words you use, and keep things moving very nicely. Excellent word choices and dialogue. Great work! -A.L.T. view book

I like. Well-written, fun to read, and it all sounds very believable. In the first chapter there were a lot of exclamation marks, but that's nit-picky and not necessarily a problem. So far it's fantastic. There are things going on that don't seem quite right and enough unanswered questions that you ... view book

Nice first chapter, it really captures the imagination. There are a few slight spelling/grammar issues, but nothing major (not enough for me to remember where they were, either. oops). Interesting read, and I look forward to reading more. -A. L. T. view book
