about me

I studied political theory at Boise State and graduated from The George Washington University Law School in 2004. Academic wanderings aside, I’m a native of Las Vegas. The Mojave Desert and the characters who have tried to tame it provided a natural background for The Valley of Fire, which I wrote for an audience with a lust for life and an appreciation for the humor in our inability to explain it. Also, my day job as an attorney representing big drug companies turned out to be surprisingly boring.

The Valley of Fire is as an irreverent allegory in the same general vein as: Bulgakov’s The Master and Margarita, Moore’s Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal, and the Pratchett and Gaiman collaboration Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch.

Fun read. You've got a "Jasper Fforde" imagination, and that's a compliment. "Nobody paid attention to the...kidnapping of the squirrel cracked me up." Nice. upgraded from watchlist to bookshelf. Brett Cottrell view book
