A young man from 2220 takes on the government to fight against hatred of whites in hiding and the young white woman he yearns for.
Marcus Dresden is a nineteen year old Golden One living in the year 2220. Two hundred years ago, global war nearly left planet earth annihilated. The new government in power, the Global United Republic, forcibly bred out all the races and melded them into one: those they call the Golden Ones. It’s a world where white people or anyone who doesn’t resemble a Golden One, is not only feared and hated but ultimately hunted.
Marcus tries to find some meaning in his life in a world where all forms of self-expression are outlawed and freedom of speech is unheard of. He feels himself dying inside as he longs for something exciting to happen to him. On a camping trip with his family, he discovers an abandoned cabin with a forbidden painting of a Pale One woman and begins to dream of finding someone like her for himself. He gets his wish when he catches Kenna, in his family’s farm warehouse; a pretty young woman who ran from her colony of Pale Ones. The two form a fast and furious bond when Marcus shows her a kindness she’s never known and becomes her only friend and first love interest.
