about me

I work to keep the electricity on so that I can write. Someday... when I grow up (if I grow up)... I want to be a writer ☺

I am in love with Authonomy! The advice and feedback that I have received is priceless. Thank you so much to everyone for your support.

I have been an observer of life for almost 50 years. Waiting with baited breath to purge all of the knowledge I have collected in my treasure chest. Recently I began my quest to become an author and am now admittedly obsessed!

It is increasingly difficult to maintain a "normal" life with my obsession. A full time job, house, family... oh my. I am overwhelmed but feel more alive than I have in years. Thanks for coming along on this great adventure with me.

My fellow writers are amazing, with all our eccentricities and eager minds. Keep up the good fight, and eventually someone somewhere will see what wonderful crazy creatures we truly are!

My first book that I posted on Authonomy is now published and titled "Coming About". That book was followed by "Embody" and soon to come, "Rogue's Hollow".

I've found that trying to get a book published is a daunting task that sucks the life and joy right out of you! Honestly, I just want to write. So, I'm going to focus on that and let the rest fall into place.

Comments and feedback are welcomed and much appreciated. I'm on twitter @ tilleytalk and have a fan page set up on Facebook (Jan Tilley)... feel free to follow me and I'll gladly follow you back!

Onward and upward my friends!

Rogue's Hollow

Jan Tilley

Life appears peaceful and carefree in Rogue's Hollow, but only on the surface.

In a place where legend and unspoken truth have been hidden for centuries, how much longer will it be before the secrets are revealed? The deceptions are frightening, but the truth is terrifying...

Malachi Chidester runs the Old Mill General Store in Rogue's Hollow. Many secrets hide in the dungeons of his past, but he must confront the unknown before the truth may emerge.

When Malachi befriends a young man from a neighboring town, the horrific truth is finally exposed. Both men will be forced to face the traumatic details of their past and make decisions which may lead them down a dark and uncertain path.

Ghosts are the least of their Concerns. Is history destined to repeat itself or will someone have the strength to stand up to the evil lurking in the shadows of Rogue's Hollow?

Review:
"If you love small-town secrets, mystery, and folk lore you'll love Jan Tilley's latest suspense novel Rogue's Hollow. A fascinating and satisfying yarn penned by a superb author!" Andrew McAleer, best-selling author of the 101 Habits of Highly Successful Novelists and Fatal Deeds.

Coming About

Jan Tilley

Life can take many twists before you arrive at your destination.

Rachel Robinson is drifting along in a comfortable life, completely unaware that her entire world is about to be turned upside down. Rachel was not prepared for the pain as her only daughter goes off to college. Her suffering is only compounded when her husband asks for a divorce.

With no place else to go, Rachel turns to her new friend Sadie. Secrets begin to surface that will change both of their lives forever.

With nothing else to lose, Rachel sets sail on an unforgettable journey where she finds that true love has been waiting for her all along. Coming About will speak to any heart that has ever had a change of course.

Sometimes the path we are on is not where we’re destined to be. It takes a twist of fate and a leap of faith to redirect our future. Never give up hope, just come about.

Embody

Jan Tilley

Could the goose bumps on your arm be your body’s warning sign of impending danger?

Goosebumps appear on the flesh. Is this a natural occurrence or the body's attempt to warn us of impending danger?

There are some people who spend their entire lives feeling like they don't belong; they just don't fit in with modern society. Outcasts, misfits, call them what you may, but in reality they are the gifted ones.

Notlad has been sent here from his home planet NeVaeh on a mission to comprehend everything there is to know about "the fleshlings." Humans are very complex creatures, but even with their contradictions and flaws they have something very special that the NeVaehans desire... flesh.

Fleshlings make the perfect hosts. They don't even realize that foreign energies are all around, lurking in the shadows, just waiting for the perfect opportunity to embody and fuse with their own energy source and become one.

Why are the NeVaehans here and what do they want? The truth will leave you looking over your shoulder long after the story ends. The end is just the beginning.

We are not alone...

Hi Ashley! Great minds... I just finished the first Chapter of "Maddy" as well. LOVED IT! I printed it off (as I like the real deal in my hand, silly but true) I had my pen ready to ink it up with corrections. When I was done the ONLY comments that I had scribbled on the pages were compliments! No c... view book
