HR Manager in Edmonton, Alberta.
Hockey and (NFL) football freak.

Happily unmarried to my soul mate and fellow sports enthusiast. "Mother" to a two year old cat.

I don't know where my characters come from- they just come to me and I feel like they've entrusted me to tell their stories. I hope I do them justice.

Fall in Line

Bridget Dunn

A man who wants to start over. A woman who wants to forget. A town that never forgets anything.

Following the death of his wife and unborn son, police officer Nick Drago moves from their quiet Nova Scotia town to the tourist locale of Invermere, British Columbia. Hoping to start a new life and leave the ghosts of his grief behind, Nick meets Dr. Samantha Garner, single mother to a teenaged son with her own demons and past that haunts her.

With Nick determined to find love in spite of what others might think, and sometimes with the assistance of Sam’s well-meaning son and their friends, the two embark on a relationship, hoping that it is not too soon for Nick and too late for Sam. But other processes have been set in motion, too, and they threaten to tear apart the quiet lives that Sam and Nick have made for themselves.

Who is Josh’s father, and why has Sam guarded his identity for so long? Will knowing the truth destroy her son, or Sam’s relationship with him? Will the news make the small town take sides, and what side will the new police officer fall onto once the lines are drawn?

Minor- again. In Ch 35, when referring to Kennedy, you say Evie flinches at his mentioning of his middle name. It seems awkward. Also, following the mugging, Mrs. Fishbein decided to check out things out. (I know, I'm anal. But you want me to spot these before an editor does, right?) view book

Minor- in Ch 20, when Bertie and Helen go to survey the damage, missing an O in 'coming.' I love how the children are growing up. You are once again doing a great job of mixing the horrors of war with the humanity of those living through it- John and Evie getting the children away, Bertie notici... view book

End of Ch 5- LOVE the symbolism of Gipsy Boy roses, red as blood, yet beautiful amid the chaos of war and the orphaned children nagging at John's concsience. The flitting butterfly evokes the thought of the saying about one little change and somewhere a butterfly flaps its wings. Were it not f... view book
