about me

Note: Sorry but my novel Ripple found a publisher so I thought I'd better remove her from here.
Ocean friend and fiend. Published author of children's books. Ripple is my first novel. Hope it interests kids as well as adults. Did a lot of ocean sailing in my younger days. Now I live inland near where I was born, but out in the wilds beside Mt Pirongia in New Zealand. Here I can ride my mountain bike for miles and dream and write about the sea, while staring out the window at my beautiful home mountain.

Finished the book and was sad to reach the end. Just realised I hadn't even put it on my Authonomy bookshelf though I had it in my kindle and was reading it there. i've backed it now. You hear about "Mind/Body/Spirit" books and it all sounds great but it turns out most of them are non-fiction. I alw... view book

I am quite thunderstruck by this book. I have bought it as an e-book and am reading it on my kindle. I'm half way now and about to continue reading. I have a zillion questions but won't ask until I've finished in case they're answered in the book. I can only say what imagination and wonder however y... view book

Up to chapter three and really enjoying it so far. I like and identify with the lawyer, whose character you are gradually and skilfully revealing. Dialogue is fine and appropriate. Narrative voice is perfect for the story and your writing style is clear and succinct. I feel the faintest whiff (hope?... view book

hilarious beginning chapter and such a hook. Who could not fail to read on. The questions we want answered are things like, will the "sleeping beauty" waken? will the husband stand up for himself at last? I've backed this and will be reading on. Go Marmalade! Love stories with animal characters. On... view book

Hilarious. Electrifying. Also tight and pacy. If the whole thing is as good as this first chapter it has to be a winner. The opening lines are just riveting. view book
