An epic adventure for disgruntled teenagers of all ages.
Think The Phantom Tollbooth without the finger-wagging, or The Wizard of Oz with a goat.
When Chelsea Dart wakes up on the morning of her fourteenth birthday, it isn't there. Her parents, her friends and even her own diary all maintain that there had never been any reason to think it would be.
Of course, Chelsea is WAY too mature to care about losing anything as lame as a birthday – but when a giant grandad tells her it's only the start of a process that will end in the total loss of her identity, even she has to sit up and take notice.
So begins a quest that takes her the length and breadth of Britain in pursuit of the mysterious birthday thief. To succeed she'll need to enlist the help of a reverse fortune teller, a woman who sleeps in motorway signs, a useless superhero with an exploding head, the love of her life and an extremely secretive goat, and uncover a lost civilisation that has existed almost literally right under humanity's nose(s) for thousands of years.
But, to be honest, she's never done anything like this before. She might be about to lose ALL her birthdays...
