Anything by Terry Pratchett, Douglas Adams, Jasper Fford, Grant/Naylor (yeh I know that's probably spelt wrong and it's TV) and yeh, I like JK Rowling. Tom Holt is good. I also like Tolkein, CS Lewis, Neville Shute (it doesn't all have to be fantasy) Nick Hornby, PG Woodhouse, Oscar Wilde, Pete McCarthy, Bill Bryson... you can see a style of writing coming out now yes?
