The outlaw is still in love and he's saved the girl, now all that needs saving is the world. The future of civilisation looks dicey.
Close up, The Pan of Hamgee has to admit, this knight in shining armour thing is trickier than it looks. Despite being narcotically inconvenienced by the Grongolian Secret Police, he has managed to escape from their custody, switch to another version of reality and spirit the Chosen One from under the Grongles' noses as they tried to kidnap her. Not a bad day's work, he thinks.
But the Chosen One thinks otherwise. The trouble is she's never met him before and because of the drugs, all he can tell her is that he's a little teapot. It's not a great help that he's broken the glass front of the Festival Hall or that Lord Vernon has pursued the two of them through London and broken some major landmarks, either.
They are alive, of course, but the Chosen One's life is ruined, the Grongolian hordes and their despot leader, Lord Vernon are leaking into the wrong version of the universe and The Pan is going to have to clear up the mess fast or bad things will happen...
This is the second volume of the K'Barthan Trilogy.
