about me

J. A. Partridge has been an editorial assistant for a regional newspaper, an accounting specialist in a variety of accounting fields, a special projects coordinator (whatever that is) and a web application developer/designer/stylist. Perhaps not too surprising for a biology major who somehow ended up with a BA in Philosophy and Religion.

He's also an award-winning poet, but he's promised to give that up.

He currently lives in south Texas with his wife and two kids and a hedgehog named Speppers where he does the web thing, designs and plays games and has finally acknowledged that continuing to fence épée will only get himself hurt. He is currently working on over a dozen short stories and novels simultaneously.

I like your voice and the pacing of you story. Its obvious this is a subject you care very deeply about and you address it well. I've only read the first few chapters so far, but I've already decided to back it. I wish you continued success. view book

Thank you for the invite to read your story. I generally like fantasy, but this really--really--isn't my cup of tea. I'm afraid I don't have anything helpful to say except I wish you luck with your story. view book

I wish we were in the same writers' group and I could sit across from the table and give my impressions and suggestions for tweaks here and there. You've got a well developed and sympathetic character and a nicely detailed world. Your opening scene is awesome. Some of the disembodied portion was ... view book

I'm sorry it's taken me so long to get to Mummy's Boy. I've posted one comment, but authonomy's database choked on it so here is the quick and dirty version. Getting inside the head of a psychopath is an interesting exercise and Marcus has a lot of potential. Judging from the POV shifts in the ... view book
