about me

I am 42 years old, and for every one of those years I have lived in the same south central Ohio area of the good old USA. I have 4 sons ages 23, 21, 17 & 6 as well as a 16 year old daughter and a 3 year old grand-daughter. We'll be getting 3 more grandbabies this year; a baby sister for my granddaughter at the end of June and twins for my oldest son at the middle of September.

I have an Associate's Degree in English, a Bachelor's in Political Science and a Law Degree from the University of Dayton School of Law; none of which I have ever put to use. I am well educated because I enjoy learning and crave knowledge. In the past I have worked in a day care center, a law office, a fast food restaurant, and a pet specialty store where I sold adorable puppies for astronomical amounts of money. I also spent 7 years as a foster parent for the county. Currently I work full time at Wal-Mart as a Photo Center Specialist and spend what little spare time I have writing my novels.

I had a novel published in the early 90's by a books on disk publisher, but since then have concentrated my efforts on caring for my family. In the past year I have started to concentrate on my writing again and hope to have my work published in the traditional form in the near future. I currently have two full length novels finished as well as two short novellas with two other books at the half way mark.

I have made some rather extensive edits to the first chapter of Mind Shadows so if you've read it already and thought there were issues with that chapter you want to take another look see.

I want to thank Bradley Wind for my beautiful cover.

I will read any and all, but my days are very busy and I have little online time. Generally if something makes my watch list it's because I like the pitch and intend to back it, but it may take me a day or two to get it done. I also don't have a lot of time to comment so unless something grabs me by the throat good or bad I probably won't have much to say.

favourite books

I guess I should say my own, but I'm assuming this question is actually asking about my reading preferences. So in answer I will say the entire Dark Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon; everything Christine Feehan has ever written; as well as most anything by Kay Hooper, Iris Johansen, and a host of others. Anything that combines romance, intrigue, & humor is on my favorites list especially if there's a vampire or psychic in the mix.

The premise grabbed me immediately and so far I love what I see. Powerful writing, good storyline, well defined characters. I haven't had time to read more than the first chapter, but I will definitely be back for me when I have a chance! view book

I am so seriously not a fan of Chicklit so I am going to steer clear of commenting on the story itself and stick more to the writing itself which in your case is excellent. You have a smooth, powerful style and strong descriptive visuals which to me is a huge thing....no matter what I'm reading I ... view book

The writing is excellent and your storyline and premise are fabulous. I would go through and try to rework it so that you aren't giving up so much of the background story straight away. Work it so that your main characters unfold to each other naturally a bit at a time instead of telling us in big... view book

Wow... I don't have time to read farther than the first chapter tonight, and as I said earlier horror is usually not my genre so I'm commenting here based purely on the writing. You have a very powerful style; strong, descriptive without being unnecessarily gross. The storyline is very smooth and ... view book
