about me

I am 23 years old, Christian, and female. My favourite animals are cats and wolves. My dad is a Methodist minister, and because of his job, I have lived in several different places in the UK.

I have been reading books and writing for as long as I can remember. I also enjoy watching films regularly - particularly horror films. I think that it's worthwhile for a writer to see how effects are used in film, since it can help for picturing things in your mind when asking, 'Would this be possible in real life?"

War of the Gods is now completely uploaded. Feel free to be as critical as you like - I know I can always improve, and I want to know what I need to work on. Thanks!

November's finished now, so I hope to get back to reading, reviewing and backing for this month. Sorry again for the delay, and I'll do my best to play catch-up.

War of the Gods: The Wizard's ....

Risa Makey

An ongoing war between the forces of good and evil

The book series details the ongoing war between the god of Evil and the goddess of Goodness (called Light). Light allowed herself to be reborn as a mortal around a thousand years ago, and has been going through a cycle of different lives - but the cycle ends here...

After being captured by a servant of her brother, Light needs to find a way to escape; but it's not so easy when she's trapped in the form of a cat, and doesn't even have all of her memories

Normally, I find that the crime/thriller genre is a bit hit and miss. I can't count the amount of times I've looked at a crime book, and been really taken by the pitch - only to find that the book doesn't live up to my expectations. That definitely wasn't the case with this book. I really did enjoy ... view book

The flow of this book is smooth and easy to read. The actions of the characters make sense in later chapters - though I do think that the things with Olwud and his father could have been handled better. People cope with grief in different ways, it's true, but I find it difficult to believe that Olwu... view book

I’ve only read up to chapter nine at the moment... but I think that this is a really good book, and I will definitely be back to read more soon. I’ve noticed a few errors here and there; it might be worth getting another person to read through and see what you’ve missed. It also seems that certain t... view book

A very thrilling read with interesting characters. A lot of work has clearly gone into this book, and I think it definitely deserves its high position. All in all, a very enjoyable read; I didn't see anything that needed to be changed view book

This is a really good idea, with very interesting characters. I’ve noticed a few mistakes – such as full stops in the place of commas – and the wrong usage of word spellings (bare instead of bear, for instance). I did really enjoy this, and I hope you consider putting more chapters up. view book
