CLUB WARS

Fabrice Stuyvesant

Supercharged thriller set in London's financial world. Secret societies do battle whilst a tormented broker tries hard not to fall for a mischievous stripper.

Complete and uploaded, pending professional edit.

High-octane tale of betrayal, revenge and tormented passion,

Michael Ruyter thought he knew the hidden sides of London's trading community. The banter, booze and cocaine. The unforgiving trading floors. The strippers and sex binges. The Polo days, backstabbing and mindboggling rewards.

After getting head-hunted by Bruce & Maynard Brokers, Mike discovers a hidden world lurking beneath 'the City'. Secret clubs which further the interests of the fortunate chosen few, and destroy anyone that gets in their way.

Michael is recruited into the escalating Club Wars where a fight to save his career turns into a fight for his life.
Feverish thoughts of the sexy and mischievous stripper Katia haunt him. Her captivating brown eyes convey a bitter sweet longing but will her dark secrets prove to be his downfall?

This book is a no holds barred eye-witness account of a world that remains behind closed doors. A rare opportunity to discover the powers at work in the world's most international financial centre.

Good descriptions, poetic imagery. Clearly an edit in necessary with regards to the language. In terms of the story I haven't read enough to give a good judgement but I think you need to raise a clearer 'question' or 'cliffhanger' in this chapter. Best of luck with this, Fabrice, Club Wars view book

Great prose, lucid and fast moving. I like the efficient use of words. I'd say strenghten the cliff hangers at end of chapters though. Best of luck with this! Fabrice, Club Wars view book

Hi Mel. Your work stands out. It's an original voice. It provides an insight into a world that will shock and or disturb most. I read the first two chapters. I hope there will be a strong storyline developing rather than the narrative remaining anecdotal. You're very talented. Loved the bit with the... view book

Very absorbing read. Good balanced build up. Authentic characters. The first sentence of your short pitch is grammatically correct but left me thinking for a moment 'the struggle against poverty, AND hope' as if it's about the struggle against hope. Incorrect thought of course but only because of ... view book
