about me

Published in a couple of magazines - keen to break into the fiction and/ or autobiography world. I'm gradually building up a head of steam on this here site. Free Books!!!!! What could be better than that?

At the moment I like to reciprocate readings - and I like to comment on the work I read.

Currently enjoying the feedback.

Won't someone please read Square Pegs - it really is much better than that nonsense "Pilots'

favourite books

To kill a mocking bird; catch 22; bury my heart at wounded knee; any of charlie higsons young bond books; Any Pullman Book; really too many to mention

Enter a world of sex, time travel and Subbuteo(tm) finger. John thought he knew what life was all about - until he died.

John liked his safe life. He had a safe Job working for local government. He lived with his mum. He played five-a-side football on Fridays with his mates and, if he was feeling a little frivolous, he'd go out for a few beers with them afterwards. Enter Jen. She introduces John to the most exhilarating, passionate and anatomically fascinating one-night-stand of his life. And so much more. When John discovers he has a terminal illness he finally develops the courage to truly live. But is it all too late? Well, yes, of course it is, that was a rhetorical question. When John finally dies, that's when his life becomes really complicated. A few comments from folk who have read Pilots: "Ha-ha, funny, funny, funny - this had me in bits" "...this was hilarious, witty, incredibly personal and brilliant..." "If it was possible to read your piece through hands over the eyes I would. You capture that comedy of embarrassment so well."

How funny? Bless you - a whole book with such sound advice. Fanny Batter is my guru, my guide through an otherwise puzzling life. backed with a smile on my face good luck with it. Sorry, what exactly is fanny batter...? Good Lord, that's disgusting...the elders at the church were traumatised. ... view book

i'm with Jared here - your writing flows beautifully through your faultless dialogue. I'm a big fan of good dialogue - so much that is written lacks authenticity. Yours doesn't. Nice spiel at the start - and effortlessly imaginative - lovely stuff. Baked (like I needed to tell you) cheers and ... view book

Ray - this is lovely - the characterisations are exquisite - immediately you had me thinking 'Is he paranoid?' - then 'Well he takes diazepam...' I love the way he catches onto little nuances and how they grow i his mind. I will read all of this and get back to you again when I have - but please kno... view book

Ok, I'm a discerning reader - I don't spend my time reading shit - so, I find this - after a gentle prod - Dan, you know you're not just a good writer - you're a great writer - why aren't you published? I've only read the first few chapters and I'm hooked. It's professional - it has real characters ... view book
