Ephemera is a study of Life after Death. A Journey from a Bristol Housing estate to the secrets of the life Hereafter.
The Skyrise Housing estate offers little sanctuary for a sixteen year old boy without a father and without a future. Martin is quick and clever and feigns madness to escape the worst brutality of some of the thugs on the estate, but eventually even he has nowhere to run. It is then that a strange madcap character called Cecil enters his life and teaches him how to tell when danger is near and to forsee the future. From there he begins a journey through a side passage in his dreams into Ephemera: the heart of the afterlife. He begins a training in dealing with the damaged memories of those that are no longer alive and comes to understand the true nature of life after death, but one memory rises above all others to threaten his existence in this world and the next. The memory of his own father.
