about me

I'm seventeen, I'm English and many people believe I am a slight psychopath with an overactive imagination bordering on the vaguely insane and I don't do much to dispel that, to be honest.

I'm a devout Atheist. No offence. So pleeeeeeeease don't ask me to read books on Holy Matters that revel in the works of God. I have enough of that - my aunt and uncle are vicars and one side of the family is Christian to boot. Somewhere along the line, I fell off the path. Who knows?

I'm a total nerd. To show how much of one I actually am, I'll say this:
I once worked out Eoin Colfer's language of Runes in the Artemis Fowl series and interpreted the writing across the bottom of each book.
I also had a whole conversation with my mate James in the Ancient Language from the Inheritance series (Eka elrun ono wiol förn thornessa, Paolini-finiarel!!)
No, I'm not wierd. Well, maybe I am. Okay, fine, I'm probably insane and am probably going to be put in a mental institution when my parents realise just how much I live in my head.

Random Facts of Randomosity:

I'm not sure what SPAM is... unless it's Salivating Purple Alien Monkeys... in which case, I'm so down with SPAM.

I scar easily.

I speak English (duh), basic French (ah oui, criore á moi!!) and fluent Sarcasm.

I have grey/green/blue/indecisive eyes.

I'm hopefully going to do Physics at University.

I got the box set of His Dark Materials for my eighth birthday and read it in three days.

I may be the strangest and most disturbed person you have ever met.

Go figure.

ANYWAYS!! Yes, there's two books here. If you're into modern vampire tales, try To Die For. If you're into medieval-style fantasy adventure, check out Into The Dark.

Alternatively, try both!!! :D

To Die For

Amy Bradford

Me and Antonia said we'd be best friends forever.
I never expected to take it literally...

Sarcastic schoolgirl Louisa Green was pretty normal - she went to school, she did exams, she almost died of boredom in the sleepy town of Rydon where nothing ever happened. Ever.

Period.

Until that October, when Louisa suddenly finds herself in the midst of a centuries-old fight between two vampire brothers that seem to have something to do with her best friend Antonia, who really isn't herself...
If that wasn't enough, she and Antonia's brother Simon uncover a community of creatures that claim to be distant cousins of the werewolf. With their new allies, the three of them manage to get attacked by tricks of the light, make bonds that no one really wants and make friends with the most unlikely of people - 'people' being used loosely. Nothing is as it seems anymore.
In the midst of this, a darker force arises to threaten what little is left of Louisa's sane world...

Somewhere in all of the running around trying not to get killed, Louisa has to establish exactly where her loyalties lie. She's got some hard choices ahead and none of them really appeals. One thing is for certain.

She can't save everyone...

Amy Bradford

When there's no one left to fight, the saviours aren't exactly who you'd expect...

Melanie was once the most notorious youngster in Hren, capital of Gera. Now, as the third protector of Prince Tearn, she and the others embark on a journey across the kingdom.

But what started out as a simple reconnaissance mission, based solely on rumours, led them into a deadly trap that confirmed the worst fears of the Aliied Lands - the infamous sorcerer known as the Dark Master had risen again...

Within days, the kingdom of Gera is overrun and the task of saving it falls to them - a thief, a hag-vampire cross, a Lupine, a pampered Noble and a teenage Priince. The odds are definitely against them this time.

Heading for the Dark Place, Melanie finds herself on a journey that will spill blood, reveal traitors, uncover friends and wrench deep and delicate secrets from the hearts of even the darkest of men...

Sometimes, the only thing to fear is you...

Into The Dark is a story in 9 parts:
Part 1 (Hren: Beginnings) is Chapters 1 - 9.
Part 2 (Gera: Decisions) is Chapters 10 - 19.
Part 3 (The Bleak Mountains: Information) is Chapters 20+
This may become a Trilogy...

THIS BOOK IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION!!! :P

Wow... that kid's really evil. God, I wanted to smash him face in and really wanted it to hit home. Thing is, with Gerald, I don't think it would. I don't think anything would hit home. You've made one heck of a character. Yet, at the same time, I kinda like those two. They've got enough personalit... view book

I've only read four chapters but here's what I got: This type of old-fashioned romance usually isn't my thing - I don't think I've ever read a simple romance book in my life - but it is elegantly written and the characters are well put-together. Carly Blakemore has a good heart but she annoys me a ... view book

Whoa, I just read 57 chapters in two hours... this is so good!! My 'deranged' mind approves! It's a dirty, mysterious, seductive reality that you've put together here and by god, do you pull it off?! It works so well! Chieko's a good strong character, with a fire in her that you just know resides u... view book

I read four chapters and I admit, this is elegantly written. There is an aura to it, a background, that hints at other darker things. I like the ambitious young Commandor Shenq and the idea of the two Princes. I'm afraid I got a bit lost, however. I think it was the amount of authentic detail you p... view book
