I'm a new writer. In sixty eight years on this good earth, I have tried about everything. Always being an avid reader, I never ever thought about writing until one year ago. Since then, that's all I have wanted to do.

My son and daughter-in-law bought me a laptop with a lighted keyboard for our upcoming fiftieth anniversary and now I can sit and write in the dark. The best gift I have ever received.

have been writing for one year. I believe my writing has improved during that year and I have a lot of stories and books to share.

I grew up reading Jack London, Zane Grey, and Frank Yerby, my favorite.

Then I went on to Gothic and Historical Romance for several years. Loved Anya Seton's Green Darkness.

Until I started writing, reading was my favorite pass time. I still love to read but spend more of my time writing.

At present, my favorite genre are Thrillers. That's what I like to read and what I like to write. I've never minded reading it, but being from an older generation, I still have a difficult time writing the four letter words and erotic scenes so necessary to sell the books, but am working on it.

I have received more help and good advice on this site in the last four days, than I have in the last year of struggling to learn how to write.

You'll never know how much I appreciate you all.
