about me

Prior to becoming a chiropractor I spent some exciting years in the fifties on the open range in Brazil as a cowboy/assistant manager and then went to Malaya where I became a rubber planter. An accident in Malaya led to my final change of career as a chiropractor. I received my Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic USA 1966.
I have practised as a chiropractor in Hong Kong since 1966 and am now senior partner of Drs B.S.Vaughan & Associates (Chiropractors).
I was the Founder President (served until 1994) of the Hong Kong Chiropractors Association. Re-elected to President 2003 to present.
I was a Council member, representing Asia, of the World Federation of Chiropractic. I was WFC President from 2000 until 2002.
I was the first Chairman of the Chiropractors Council (HK), (1993 - 2002).
In recent years I have become an author (tongue in cheek) and have had two books published:-
Brazilian Saddle Sores
Rabid Dogs in the East

I am a dog lover and enjoy out doors and travelling.

favourite books

I have enjoyed the books by John Grisham, James Patterson, Stephen King, Ian McEwen,Kathy Reichs, Michael Crichton and Jeffery Arher. I also enjoyed the Patrick O'Brian books. They face the prospects of Hong Kong's handover to China, each from a different perspective, but a more serious threat comes in the form of a false accusation by a blackmailer. Hi Tarquin, I have read the four chapters you have put up and feel that there is great potential in the book. I am WL it for now, hoping to see more later. Meanwhile I invite you to take a grander at A Matter of Face. I need the support. All the best. Bruce view book

Hi Mark, I enjoyed reading this although I found the long introductions to the characters a little tedious. It is well written and fun to read; good sense of comedy. I am shelving this. Please take some time to read A Matter of Face. Bruce view book

Elaina, I see no problem with the list at the beginning. It does avoid confusion. Looks like a good fantasy novel, well written. You obviously have a lot of experience in writing. Shelved. Bruce (A Matter of Face) view book

Cory, I found the first chapter a little confusing. It jumped in time and in tense. I believe it has great potential but the reader needs a little help in connecting the dots. Good luck with this. Bruce view book

Hi Matt, I am up to Chap 6 and enjoying the intrigue. I feel that it is good enough to back, so will do so. Give A Matter of Face a look. Bruce view book
