about me

I'm still trying to figure out what exactly I am. I expect that will take most of my life. I love to travel and wander wild places, with enough comfort in the evenings for a cup of something hot and a writing desk.

My novel Raven Son, a fantasy based on Russian folk tales, has recently been put back up after rewrites. I would appreciate any feedback. Please back it if you like it, but I don't like to do reciprocal backing. I will back your book if I like it, and usually for a long time.

As for spamming and the like - I don't have a lot of time for reading, since I'm going back to school in September. Feel free to send me messages, but I will only answer if I like the pitch or if you strike me as a person I'd like to get to know better.

Thanks everyone and I look forward to meeting many of you!

wow. What tremendous poetry is in your words. I was truly mesmerized by the flow and the imagery. Personally, I love stream of consciousness, if it's done right(I know many people don't). This is definitely done right. What's amazing is that even though there isn't necessarily any linearity to ... view book

Hi Adam! I enjoyed your first chapter, and I'm going to continue to read. That's already an accomplishment, believe me :) I liked the hook line at the end of the chapter, and after the rather formulaic action in the church, it made me want to keep going. A few small nitpicks, but keep in mind ... view book

Hi Quenntis, You suggested I be honest, and I will. But of course anything I say is purely personal opinion from a fellow writer, so take it as such. Ok, so I'm not regularly a horror reader. But that doesn't mean I won't read something in that genre that's well written and compelling, like... view book

I've read the first chapters, and I am really interested. I think you've engaged the reader's interest perfectly. I love the "Bourne Identity in a fantastic setting" idea. It's tricky to have a nameless and memoryless hero because it's easy to lose interest in someone you can't relate to. But you... view book

"an eternal moment" - did you know you were quoting Shakespeare :) It's from King John, one of the great insults of all time - "Go to hell, for an eternal moment or so". Anyway, sorry for the random comment, now back to reading chapter 1 :) view book
