about me

I used to be a banker - my family and friends say I got out just in time. Since then I've been writing fiction - my ex-colleagues say not much has changed! I live in Kent with my wife and our five-year-old beagle, Ella.

I thought you would rather see a picture of Ella as a puppy than my mugshot! Altogether now.... Aaaah!

A wonderfully honest narrative that conveys an awful "rabbit in the headlights" feeling. I've never considered how it might feel to be tagged - it seems like an easy option for those terrible felons, like they've gotten off lightly. I guess I too would have found relief that at least "jail time wasn... view book

Highest quality writing - very polished. It does my TSR no favours to spend time reading a couple of chapters and backing this, and my novice ranking will have little effect on BRAINRUSH, but I wanted to know what it takes to get to the top on this site - I found the air to be very thin up there. With mutual connections to Dulwich and Bournemouth, I couldn't resist this. If Trent was older I could almost envisage David Jason playing him and making subtly irreverent digs at his COs. Very Jack Frost. I've backed this on the strength of two chapters and hope to read more later to find out how m... view book

I'm not a great fantasy fan, so I had already decided to limit my review to part 1 of the prologue. With that caveat in place, I would echo the previous comment that you might want to tighten up the opening scenes to keep people reading. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad - it was effective in taking... view book
