about me

American Ex-patriot now living in and loving the UK. I've been writing in some fashion or another since 8 years of age. I have finally decided to let my Muse take over and dedicate myself to the task of emptying my painfully bursting head of stories and prose. A good thing, as I'm sure there wasn't much room left for my Self up there.

I think my greatest strengths lie in my creativity and my childish perception of the world, which should not be confused with naivety. The world is still magical to me, and I hope it will remain so - because when we 'grow up' I think we leave an awful lot of ourselves behind and the world can become such a grey and sullen place.

Yes, I am probably what you expect. I sing to trees and consider my cats to be 'humans' in fur coats, I wish on stars, I find laughter addictive and believe firmly that cake could solve the world's problems. My favourite elements are water and fire, I love thunderstorms and fog.

But I am in no way typical. You'll just have to find out how/why.

favourite books

Iain Banks : Wasp Factory, The Business
Neil Gaiman - Good Omens
Terry Pratchett : Wyrd Sisters, Reaperman, Witches Abroad ..(any really)
Charles Delint : Whiddershins, Moonheart
Peter S Beagle : Fine and Private Place, The Last Unicorn
Piers Anthony : Xanth series, Adept series, Shade of the Tree

Innocent

Annastacia Simon

1983. Mankind has lost faith. God's fingering the button. Something new, the Innocent, could save us. All she must do is survive.

Nothing makes God more grumpy than watching Mankind slip off the rails. Again. When his trigger finger grows itchy, an unlikely saviour offers a challenge.
Create again. A new type of human. A new type of angel. An Innocent with the capacity to save Mankind.

But can she save herself ?

An adventure. A love story. A sardonic commentary.

[QUOTE] Well, as so often happens, I’m the contrary view. Here’s the problem, as I see it: It’s mostly told as a synopsis. You spend the first 938 words personally talking to the audience, giving them background. '' This being my first draft, I expect I will need to tighten here and there - in... view book

I've just read the snippet you kindly sent to me, and even though romance really isnt my sort of thing normally - I have to say that what little you sent me was enough to make me smile. You are a gifted lady, and I think I might actually take a crack at reading this :) Thanks for sending! Anna ... view book
