about me

I'm hoping to be a successful published author one day. I've been writing since I was fifteen and I am just now brave enough to break out into the publishing world. Even though I know I'll probably fail miserably because tons of people out there can write far better than I can, I want to say that I tried instead of just giving up and wondering "what if?"

So far I've published five novels. They are: Venn, Venn: Reborn, Venn and Daisy, D, and SiDetracked. The first three are a series and the last two are part of a spin-off series. They are all available on amazon.

I'm really bad about getting back to people that ask me to read their work. I swear I'm not ignoring you. Give me some time and I'll give you feedback. Promise.

As always I am currently seeking representation. Agents can contact me at: jennifer.jalbert3@gmail.com

favourite books

The Sea Wolf, Jane Eyre, Great Expectations and several more. I also love reading original works from unknown authors. Reading fresh ideas and new ways of thinking is always fun.

I read your whole story from start to finish last night. First off, I should give this disclaimer: I never read YA fantasy or sci-fi and your story is both. Even so, I enjoyed what I read. It was fast-paced and the plot came together nicely. Switching between Tess and a third person perspective effe... view book

I read some of your first chapter and a few bits and pieces from the other chapters. You have a good story concept however your writing style seems to get in the way of it. Rather than telling the story and developing the characters you seem to be trying to make the biggest and best descriptions so ... view book

I read your first chapter and you've got a good story. I'm not going to focus on typos or grammar or any of that. Your characters are good, the concept original, and her powers sound incredible. My one suggestion is to put more emotion in the paragraph when she is describing what Paul did to her. It... view book

I read the whole book from start to finish today. Amazing story. The perfect summer read. Laugh out loud funny, lift your spirits, help with your anger toward workplace issues, feminist, empowering story. What I loved most was that Diane was an intelligent and capable woman and she was surrounded by... view book

"Magic of the Frogs" An excellent read for young kids as well as a frog lover and magic lover of any age. Writing specifically for children is very challenging but is done incredibly well here. It makes for an entertaining read and will leave anyone that dives into it hungry for more. Well do... view book
