about me

I am a 21 year old RN and college student. I have been blessed/ cursed with an overly active imagination and absolutely love to write!
Obviously I will never complain if someone chooses to back my work, but what I'm really interested in is feedback. Any comments/suggestions are very welcome!
I love to exchange reads, but consider yourself warned - as I stated before, I am a student and as much as I love authonomy, I am not willing to flunk out of school for it. (At least not intentionally...) I will read your book, comment, and rate, but it might take me a few days. If I haven't responded within a week, feel free to send me a reminder. As long as it's nice :) I take a bit longer because I try to give real, meaningful feedback to each book. So my watchlist is unfortunatly rather long at the moment, but I'm chiseling away at it!
***I am a pretty conservative person/writer/reader. For example, I have chosen not to watch PG-13 or R rated movies. If your book would probably deserve either of these ratings, I am still happy to exchange reads if you will kindly inform me of a section of your work that is worthy of a PG rating. I am much more forgiving of violence than sexual content, but I don't really want to read anything explicit in either category.***

favourite books

Anything that makes me think, has good emotion, and interesting characters. And I will confess, I usually read the end of the book first.

Shattered Light

Carmen Glade

It was the perfect happy ending. Until it ended.

Timid by nature. Unremarkable in appearance. The third daughter whose existence is rarely remembered. Lady Taleia Ciarra seems doomed to spend her life in the shadow of her radiant sisters, until in a sudden change of fortune she finds herself betrothed to the prince of Felderon, a man whose power is outweighed only by his handsome charm. But Taleia’s fairytale dream rapidly descends into a nightmare as she finds herself fighting to return to her perfect prince – and for her life. Encountering unexpected friends and relentless enemies along the way, Taleia will ultimately have to find the power deep within herself if she is to survive.

All comments are very much appreciated, but I would be particularly grateful for feedback on chapters 13 and 14.

The beginning was confusing in an attention grabbing, thrilling sort of way. The next little bit was confusing in a less desirable way. You have realistic dialogue and great characterizations, but you may want to set it up a bit so we know who the characters are that are speaking. For example, I wa... view book

Oh you have done a terrible thing! I absolutely love all the books on my shelf, and with the new changes I pretty much figured that they would all be there to stay. But after reading a few chapters I just had to make a space for your book on my shelf! Your writing is beautifully descriptive while ke... view book

The title immediately caught my attention, but even still your first chapter completely blew me out of the water! Your prose is amazingly descriptive but so tight it never even comes close to losing the pace of the action. And I love the subtle humor. Extremely well written and a very intriguing pre... view book

I've read through chapter 5 so far and I'm very impressed. You have woven a interesting story with strong characters in a world that feels tangible. There are a couple of typos, but nothing major, and your style is beautifully descriptive without ever losing the plot in the detais. I fully intend to... view book

So I intended to read one chapter and then go to bed. Well, five chapters later the only reason I am going to go to bed is there is nothing more to read :( The pacing has a great combination of humor, character development and action. One of the best books I've read on this site. Please let me know ... view book
