about me

Greetings, friends/mates. My profile will remain read-only while I focus full time on re-writes for The Silhouette and develop any future works. Until I decide I want to include my work on here again, I will devote a little more time to reading what this site has to offer and provide my insight for those of you who are on your own fast track to the desk. Always yours, Thomas William Shaw.

You can find me on facebook via the link below.

Review//The Lost Wink The title and short pitch really drew me in. I just had to know what this was all about. I clicked read and never looked back. It is an interesting tale like no other I’ve seen for this age group on this site. I have no critiques and I had to back this. view book

Review//Dragonraptor by Kestrellian I love your descriptions and the beautiful world you attempt to paint us. There is a lot of potential for a tale featuring dinosaurs as the central characters, but aside of descriptions the presentation is quite wooden. Reading through the first several pages ... view book

Review//The Tooth by Alastair Ingason I enjoyed the fresh writing style and grace of the opening chapter. It was more than enough to keep me interested and begging for more. There is one drawback in the text and it is the overuse of “was” and “that.” There are times when you haven’t a choice, ... view book

YARG Review//The Tale of Ayden Shaw One of the biggest responsibilities for a vampire novel these days is to avoid the pitfalls of the genre itself: the clever vampire, the ironic unironic heroin character who wants to be turned, and evil vampires to combat the "good vampire." The opening chap... view book

YARG Review//Shraa Trials of a She Elf -Prologue// -Since we've already established that its referring to the daughter, you can just put "carry away her soul." Its very important not disrupt the flow in your opening paragraphs. -In the sentence "They say that...this may work," it wasn't clea... view book
