about me

Like my main character, Caty Tyler, I am a lawyer residing in Adelaide. I have also been a waitress, library assistant, intelligence analyst, and Immigration case officer. I have written countless legal letters, submissions, decision records and intelligence reports. This is my first complete novel - I am currently working on my second. I have always been an avid reader of crime fiction, and would love to become a published writer of it too!

I have taken my book down for a while, as the full manuscript is currently under consideration by a publisher. Many, many thanks to everyone who's supported it while it's been up here!

Marita, Your writing is compelling, as is the story line. It's gritty, tough, brutal in parts and though I've never spent time in a part of NZ like this, it certainly rings true. I've read two chapters so far but hope to read more. I'm impressed by the way you're able to switch between different poi... view book

Exceptional writing. I particularly liked your description of life in the summer heat - vivid and evocative. I've only read the first two chapters so far, but this is a compelling read, and easy to back. Annabel - Exposed. view book

I think Stonefish is a highly original concept for a main character. In fact, from what I read, you have a real knack for characterisation which gives this novel more depth than some others in the genre. Yes, it's an exciting, thrilling action-packed page turner, but when you can really get to know ... view book

Wow. This is great! I love your writing style - rich and descriptive without being in any way verbose. I love your opening sentence! Your description of Yuko Zen, mysterious, hot and clad in black, is intriguing not only for your MC but for the reader. There's so much about this to like. I'd happily... view book
