about me

It's Still all about me

I'm a pretty laid back kind of guy. If you catch my attention in the forums by saying something clever, witty, or intelligent, there is a better than likely chance that I will take a look at your book.

If I stay with it for three chapters, I will definitely comment on it.

I'm in the process now of re editing, and re-writing.

Who knew writing could be such a chore? Not writing so much. I enjoy that part. It's more the endless nit finding, and
plot bunnies that need to be humanely extracted.

See you in the funny forums...

Bob

As for my book, If you love satire and dislike banks, you may enjoy it.

Although various wealthy Nigerians seem to have an inordinate amount of trust in my financial acumen and honesty, The fly in the ointment is when they ask such an honest man as I to dishonestly sneak money out of their country.

I'm afraid the only way I'll ever make my fortune is by convincing enough people to buy my book.

Be warned, I'm starting with you...:-)

The One True Bank

Robert Gracie

A satire for the 99%

For 2000 years, the holy bank has cornered the market on salvation and loans.

But in the poker pits and abandoned quarters of the city, unsanctioned change has started.

And when Kelly uncovers the Bank’s oldest secret and greatest fear, Pompaeo83 will incite a holy war to bury it again.

Fortunately, the ancient Order of Gnostr O’Damnus is ready this time.

O.G.O.D.

Kiss your assets goodbye...

I could just copy/paste my comment from "Five go Glamping" to here, except that you removed the book and my comment disappeared. I haven't quite forgiven you for that yet, but this goes a long way to setting things straight. You know I think your writing is brilliant and all sparkly at the same... view book

I was about to ritually disembowel myself after I read your impression of my book, when I realized that the second part of your comment put me up in the ranks with Oscar Wilde, Clive Barker, Plato, Chuck Pahlaniuk, Samuel R. Dear Sheena I don't do chicklit. I absolutely positively never EVER DO CHICKLIT! But I have to admit, if I ever found out that you had been hired to edit the Birmingham phone directory...I would buy a copy post haste, and voraciously read every single entry. Five go glamping is one of m... view book

Interesting, Interesting. The dialogue is just the right mix of archaeic grammar and simple text, to give it an otherworldly feel without sounding forced or pompous. Not an easy feat to pull off. This is the kind of writing I love to read. Characterisation, setting, and backstory deftly painte... view book

I shall cherish this book until my dotage, whereupon I shall read it and cackle wildly whilst flinging poo at the orderlies. What larks! view book
