about me
Hello, I live in Melbourne, Australia with my dog Angus.
After a heady couple of months working out how Authonomy works I'm ready to return to reading for pleasure and insight and am NO LONGER INTERESTED IN SWAP READING.
Although, I do enjoy a dash of indiscriminate backing and the moment I see a backing it will be recipricated:): I will save one spot on my bookshelf always.
Otherwise, the remaining four spaces are books I'm reading and others I'm waiting to buy at my local bookshop.
For those who're interested, here's the letter I've sent off to a Publisher and two Agents.
Dear ... Please accept The Male Influence, a Literary Fiction Novel, for your consideration.
With elements of Lolita and Lothario stories, it was inspired by the brutal and often ugly honesty of Augusten Burroughs’ Running with Scissors, and follows the futility of one woman trying to undo a lifetime of relationship confusion.
Its target readership are people who enjoy psychological novels, particularly women between the ages of 25 and 45 who connect with the works of Simone de Beauvoir, Francois Sagan, Erica Jung and Sylvia Plath.
I have a BA in Professional Writing, and Philosophy, and have published short stories and poetry. The Male Influence is my second novel.
Please find attached a synopsis, the first ten pages, and a SSAE. This package has been sent to ,,,
My manuscript is complete and I look forward to hearing from you.... Yours sincerely
Cover artwork is 'Mugsy,' an Eltham local. More of Rona Green's work can be seen at ronagreen.com. Enjoy!
