about me

My name's Emily Good. I've been writing since I was very young - although I mostly did short stories about camels then. Now I've done one book on Lulu about Wizards vs. the Government called Distortia, and I'd really like to become a proper author. That would be fantastic (understatement).

I also enjoy drawing in the form of comic strips and doodles, and I also read a lot and spend much 'family time' in front of the TV.

Lady of the Wraiths

Emily Good

Kerry and her friends are targeted by soulless killers called wraiths who wish to steal back their long-lost bible, the Book of Truth.

While her parents are in Greece, Kerry expects to have an uneventful week with her aunt - until the attacks start. After discovering that magic really exists and that soulless beings called wraiths stalk the earth, she and Auntie Jo abscond with the only person they can trust - a circus performer called Ranajay. But even in the sanctuary he provides, they are not safe - because this is where the Book of Truth is being kept. It is the rarest and most sought-after text about wraiths, and Kerry is the only person in the world who can read it...

This book is for ages 11-16 and combines action, mystery, magic and some fascinating characters.

Ah, where do I begin. I started reading this wondering if I was in for a nicely written reprise of 'The Omen'. How wrong I was. Within a few paragraphs I was pulled in by the explicit humour and amazingly realised characterisation. The intentions of these deranged personas, including those of Layla... view book
