about me

I retired so that I could enjoy the luxury of what I thought would be the ideal life; that of a "kept woman". I quickly discovered that being kept was boring and the other half of that arrangement expected me to do housework. So, I found myself a part-time job. I do miss the excitement of seventeen years of selling Real Estate but now that I am in my sixties, I think my new career as a writer of books, suits me better and is not nearly as hard on my feet. Hubby allows me to keep the money from my part-time work at the Multi-media Center, so I have the best of both worlds.
I live with my husband of forty-five years in a small town in south Louisiana. We sip coffee on the veranda and take part in Mardi Gras and watch politics on television.
My first book, Lizzie Walks On The Wild Side ( Strategic Publishing) is doing well and I am enjoying the travel for book signings and working on the second in the Series, Woody Gets Dunked, which will be out in the spring of 2011.
As much as I enjoy my kiddie books, my dream is to do a novel. so, I have four in progress all at once. I work on one until I start to feel sick of it and then switch , so that I do not lose the freshness that keeps the writing sharp. One is almost done and two others are close behind. It will happen. I have faith. Until then, I will sit on my back porch and sip my coffee and enjoy the hummingbirds and thank God for the life that I love.

subject to change at any given moment...I read constantly

Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen
also just finished Sizzling Sixteen by Janet Evanovich, which disappointed me very much...found two errors and the plot was very thin....she is tired of doing those things and it shows.

I am liking it so far. I don't normally read this type of book , but have read enough of it to know that I would probably finish it and recommend it to my husband, who does read this type of book. It does move quickly and I like that too. I think you are definitely on the right track and I will co... view book
