about me

Don't forget to give The Flesh-eating Diplomat from Outer Space by Marvel Gumshoe shelf time. All the royalties will go toward helping children suffering from emotional and psychological trauma.

10/25/10

I have been noticeably absent for the better part of six months. There was a reason.

By May The Keeper and the Rune Stone had reached # 18. I was thrilled, but I also wondered how much of that was on the strength of the story, and how much was due to my involvement on the site.

I decided to see what would happen to The Keeper and the Rune Stone with no help, no PR, no encouragement on my part. It was hard - but I went cold authoturkey.

I screwed up my courage this morning and checked, and am delighted (and so relieved) to see it has only dropped twelve spots!

Forgive me for not doing so before now, but explaining my absence might have affected what I hoped to learn.

I have four people (in particular) who were immediately supportive, and very, very kind, and I appreciate it more than they know. They are Columbia Valentine Scot (Patricia), Harvey Ardman, T Mackenzie, and Alexander De Witte.

And...... their books are as good as they are kind. Give them a gander.

Did I comment and not back the book? Did I not thank you? If I missed a reply, a thank you, or you did not get back to you about your book, it was not intentional. Please feel free to remind me.

This is all one delightful surprise after another. The premise intrigued, the pov immediately compelled, and I laughed aloud at unexpected gems. Nice, easy style gives this a contemporary feel. Love your cover and you have a super pitch. Easy to see why this has moved up the charts. Best of luck... view book

This is a strong work. Tight, clean, pacey, creative, and intriguing. A perfect balance of dialogue and narrative. Engaging characterizations, setting, and PF (paranormal factor) - believable and immersible. Thank you so much for contacting me - I might have missed this, and am so happy I did... view book

I love this - I was immediately engaged. Some have commented on the characters and speed. I like it, and think it works fine. The atmosphere/pace fit the setting perfectly. I'd even ramp it up with tightening in spots for impact - ex, filters such as 'Personally, I believed she was made for tele... view book

The strength of your dialogue leaps off the page. It carries your characterizations easily. That being the case, I wouldn't bother with the character descriptions I've seen. You've got it all, and then some (good stuff) already there. Your dialogue also conveys something I don't associate with... view book

Great staging. Fine physical setting and atmosphere. Love a good mystery, and this has tension. I think tightening could give this serious punch. Maybe start with the prepositions and prepositional phrases - example - the first sentence of chapter 2 - into the parking lot, of the lagoon-side... view book
