about me

I'm a brutal editor. If I read your book and it doesn't have the mechanics of a great beginning with the inciting incident, a great first line, and words that show and not tell I won't back your book. If you'd like me to give you comments on your story start please let me know and I'd be happy to help. If you dare!

Writing is my passion and purpose. I love to write stories that move readers by showing real life problems and solutions.

I've been published in many non-fiction articles and magazines. A few include ADOPTIVE FAMILIES, KRYIA.COM, and BRIO.

I've also won several short story contests in both The Writer's Digest and The Writer's Journal.

However, my dream is to publish novels. WILLOW is my second complete novel of which I hope to make into a series.

Hi Tony, I read the first chapter of Sirocco Express. What a tender glimpse of Adebayo and his family. The reader sees the pain there and wonders what will happen next and if their lives will ever be the same. We feel empathy for the boy. The mood is set from the very first paragraph--even the firs... view book

Hi Karen, Wow, you uploaded this November 1 and are already ranked 15? That's incredible. Good for you! Thanks for inviting me to read Isabel. I read the first few chapters--skated through them. You write well with imagination and creative prose, but I found your use of "I" as the author/narrator ... view book

Hi David Thanks for asking me to read CONVERGENCE. I tried to muddle through the first chapter but I couldn't get past the part where the men came into the shed. Ew...this isn't my "happy" story--for sure. I'm sorry. A few things--could you name the boy right away? It would make him more real to... view book

Hi Dan I just read your first four chapters. Your idea is very creative and different--unlike any book I've read. I like your idea of showing what one goof-up can mean to so many different people as we get a glimpse into their lives. I would have liked to have seen more of Troy's office life and fa... view book

Hi Dan, I read through this chapter one--or is it through chapter six? Your first line is brilliant and you've made me care for Edge. I was thrown in chapter two when you switched to "we" and I really thought that Emma called, but I have no time-frame to know if Edge is reminiscing this or if it's ... view book
