about me

Hi! My name is Dina. I live in Texas. I love to read, write, and learn. I'm a wife, mom, daughter, friend, sister, etc.

I spend a lot of time writing entries for my blog about Australia.

I'm not going to back anyone's book in order to boost their popularity. Nor will I back a book in order to draw more attention to my own.

I will not back your book because you backed mine for a few hours, and wrote generic compliments that could be said without reading any of my novel. If you write comments that shows you have truly read some of my novel, I will read some of yours.

If I like your book enough, I will back it. If I love your book, I shall read the whole thing and keep it on my bookshelf for awhile. Does it matter how long books are on bookshelves? I'm all confused about the whole concept!

I somewhat admire those of you with your zealous marketing techniques, but I'm more interested in finding books I TRULY love and honest constructive reviewers.

favourite books

I love the popular series that a lot of other people love: Harry Potter, Twilight, Sookie Stackhouse, Anne Rice's vampires and witches.....

I love Stephen King, John Irving, Pat Conroy, and others.

I love Australia literature, and I love young adult novels.

The Dream Games

Dina Roberts

Four people are chosen to play games in their sleep. Since it's just a dream, should they take it seriously?

Rachel expects her last summer before college to be dull and meaningless. Why should a pathetic, lonely, and never-been kissed teenager hope for anything different? When she starts having vivid recurring dreams about her favorite actor, Rachel finds herself slipping further into a fantasy world and questioning her sanity.

There is something so real about all of this. Well, of course I know it's based on a real tragedy. But your description of the situation feel so truthful. I was biting my nails as I read about Jamie waiting to hear from Dave. I love the part where the phone rings and she feels relief....unti... view book

I'm on chapter two and loving it. I'm very impressed by people who can write eloquently about sex. I feel for James. He wants to make his wife happy, but isn't exactly comfortable with what makes her happy. I love the tension the morning after. I look forward to reading more. view book

I am really liking this so far. I love how you write the beginning (bold text) like a screenplay is written. It's nice to see prose written in a unique way. I like the imagery you use....such as the sunlight on dusty bookshelves. I can totally picture that! Although honestly, I don't unde... view book

Wow! That was a dramatic beginning. I wasn't expecting that at the end of the chapter. I think you have a good start. Some of the inner dialogue bothers me a bit, especially when Sheila talks about what went wrong between her and Branagh. It seems unreal to me...maybe a little too much ove... view book
