Lynda Styles has always loved a good, scary ghost story. Born and raised in Salem, Massachusetts, Styles didn't have to look far for dark influences to spark her imagination as a writer. After receiving a B.A. from the University of Maine in English and Education, she began writing her first serious novel in earnest while working sixty hours per week at her day job (a home child care). On Gallows Hill, a young adult thriller set in present day Salem, is now complete and available on Kindle as of 10/29/12 and all other e-readers within a month of that. With frightening twists and vivid scenes created by a Salem native, On Gallows Hill is sure to entertain.

  • Kudos to Stephenie Meyer. Wild idea, well done.
  • Most importantly: From childhood I have adored Judy Blume. She and Stephen King are my inspirations. Strange combination, excellent outcome. I used to sneak into my uncle's skeleton key-locked cabinet to read hardcovers by Stephen King at ten years old, and I'll be the first to tell you, a little fright - perhaps a cautionary tale now and again - is a very good time.
